i found a online art  portfolio contest today.
i thought i should give it a try because i already have a finished portfolio standing by in my laptop, then why not give it a try?

$1000 can help me to pay for some books.

um i don't think i will be back for this thanksgiving,maybe christmas time.

Okay.

I've applied to four schools:
The School of Visual Arts
The School of the Art Institute of Chicago
Savannah College of Art and Design
and the Kasnas City Art Institute

I really am aiming for SVA and SAIC, but I would consider going to SCAD and KCAI is kind of just there to intimidate the other schools. I'm sort of doing what you were doing last year since my parents pretty much won't let me go off to school if I don't get some amazing scholarship/grant help from the school.

I'm just wondering what tactics you used and wondering what your advice would be for what I'm trying to accomplish.
